Elizabeth Imhoff Mabey, Esq.
Vice President of Professional Services and General Counsel

Elizabeth Imhoff Mabey manages the consultative and investigative divisions. Her legal
expertise is a tremendous asset to Business Controls’ clients, not only for educating them on
compliance issues, but also in helping them analyze investigative results to minimize liability
and litigation risks.

Before joining Business Controls, Imhoff Mabey practiced law for a number of years with the
Denver-based law firm of Brownstein, Hyatt and Farber. She represented business entities in
connection with commercial and employment litigation matters, including contract and business
tort disputes and claims. In addition, she held first-chair litigation roles, worked closely with
corporate in-house counsel and human resources on numerous employee issues, and developed
employee policies and manuals to reflect changes in case law and corporate structure.

Imhoff Mabey has taught several seminars in employee privacy, negligent hiring and employer
compliance with various state and federal employment statutes. She authored an article
supplement on workplace violence for the Colorado Bar Association’s Continuing Legal
Education manual on Colorado employment law.

Imhoff Mabey holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and anthropology from Southwestern
University and a juris doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law.
