Kimberly L. Pfaff
Director of Operations and Behavioral Sciences

Kimberly Pfaff manages the consultative and special investigations division relating to forensic
psychology and leads the forensic assessment program, which encompasses pre-employment
screening, fitness-for-duty evaluations, threat assessments and police psychology. She provides
training on workplace violence, substance abuse and mental illness.

During a 12-month clinical internship at the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Englewood,
Colorado, Pfaff gained specialized knowledge of the psychological functioning of the criminal
mind and suicide and crisis intervention. She served on the psychology team that engaged daily
with medium- to high-security male inmates. Her clinical responsibilities included cognitive and
personality assessments, individual cognitive-behavioral therapy and group therapy.

Pfaff’s clinical experience also includes victim advocacy for the Douglas County Probation
Department in Castle Rock, Colo, serving as a liaison between perpetrators and their victims.
She also worked as a co-facilitator of male domestic violence perpetrator groups.

Pfaff’s professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association, ASIS
International, and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.

Pfaff holds a bachelor of science in psychology with a minor in biology from Indiana University
and a master of arts degree in forensic psychology from the University of Denver. She is
pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Denver.
